Mary R. Garcia...A TEA EXEMPLARY CAMPUS!
Message from the principal.....
Welcome to another great year at Mary R. Garcia Elementary School!
I am extremely proud to say I am very fortunate to be the new principal at Mary R. Garcia.
This year we have a lot to celebrate. Mary R. Garcia, has significantly improved their TAKS scores and have received the honor of being recognized as a TEA Exemplary SCHOOL! Together as a team, the teachers, paraprofessionals and I, will strive to maintain this extraordinary achievement.
I look forward to work in partnership with parents, staff, and district support. To accomplish our academic goals for all students.
As parents, you are the primary educators of your children in the area of values and ethics, but a partnership must exist between parents and our school, because schools have an obligation to foster personal and civic virtues that help children develop good habits and attitudes, leading them to responsible citizenship.
Since we recognize that parents are their child's first and most important teachers, we need your cooperation and involvement to provide them with the best education possible. Take time to talk with your children about their school experiences. Your interest and concern in their school progress will motivate them to do their best. Maintain contact with your child's teacher and with me. Ask questions and communicate concerns so that we can build a partnership which will ensure student success.
To close Id like to say that working together we will make Mary R. Garcia a model institution of learning.
Ms. N.T. Lopez, Principal
